What is wrong with the washing machine motor not turning on

Relatively speaking, the washing machine is a safe and easy-to-use home appliance. The elderly and children can operate the washing machine, and many brands of washing machines now have a child lock function, which improves the safety factor. During the use of the washing machine, there will also be some failure problems. Today, let's find out why the motor does not turn after the washing machine is powered on?

1. The washing motor has a humming sound but does not run. The reasons are: the power supply voltage is too low, the capacitor is faulty, the rotor is stuck, the motor bearing is short of oil, the starting winding or the running winding is open circuit, etc.

2. When overhauling, you can first check the power supply voltage, then disassemble the back cover, and try to turn the rotor to see if it is flexible; then remove the capacitor, and use a multimeter to test the capacitor to determine whether it has any faults such as open circuit, breakdown or reduced capacity.

3. Finally, disassemble the lead wires of the motor, and check whether the starting winding and the running winding of the motor are open-circuit faults. After finding out the reasons, repair them according to the repair methods of each component.

If the starter does not turn, turn on the start switch and the starter does not turn. Possible reasons are:
①Insufficient battery power or loose connection of each wire or dirty terminal leads to poor contact.
②The coil of the starting electromagnetic switch is open circuit or the contact disc is in poor contact.
③The contacts of the starter relay are ablated, and the magnetic coil of the relay is open or burnt out.
④The armature shaft inside the starter is bent or the bearing is too tight, the rectifier is dirty or ablated, the brush is too worn, the spring is too soft, cannot be contacted, the armature coil or the magnetic field coil is short-circuited, open-circuited or grounded.
